In an effort to replace to prevalence of plastics in fashion and other fabric material objects, we hope to create and validate a precure for producing fungal-derived leather-like material using easily accessible materials.

In addition to a novel project that will support sustainability efforts and reduce plastic waste, we hope to make this project open-source to share the knowledge we have gained and foster innovation and experimentation beyond Swarthmore College.
