I went abroad to Lisbon, Portugal to participate in an internship program where the company matched me up with an internship in my desired field. While I was there, I worked with an environmental consulting/development group that was dedicated to building sustainable projects throughout Portugal and the world. My goals in this process were to see how companies are adapting to the climate emergency and what regulations were in Europe that protect the environment at the expense of new development. I would say my objectives were at least partially reached, but I failed to develop the desired mastery of the field as my employer needed employees more familiar with the architecture side of the business, leading me to explore alternative avenues to a fulfilling learning experience,
