data analytics intern: My internship at Hucu.ai had many components related to technology and entrepreneurship. I was directly involved in client calls where I experience how my mentor, Laura McKee '88, ran her start-up with her cofounder. These client calls, paired with the Hucu.ai team reviews, displayed to me first-hand the processes of evaluating business opportunities that dictated how business resources were allocated to maximize return. In my time, Hucu.ai was evaluating whether it should expand its market to the Area Agencies of Aging (AAAs). Being able to see the decision process and the kind of deliberations that were taken was invaluable.
In terms of technology and analysis, I was put right in the middle of data analytics for the company. Since the team is quite small, I had a large role in ensuring that company analytics were up to par. I knew that I had an internship where I had an impact on the team and the company's goals. My analytics were used to guide conversations with existing customers, evaluate the usage of new customers, and serve as an overall way of looking at the company as a whole. I am very humbled by my experience and the contributions I made to my team.
